StarTime Hip Hop Coach wins Choreographer of the Year - 2010!
Congratulations to our very funky Hip Hop Coach, Yolanda Thomas, for winning "Best Choreographer of the Year: Junior Division" at the Vibe Urban Jam & Awards night last Thursday. Check our some of Yolanda's cutting edge choreography at Groove Battlegrounds 2010.
Catch the BUG and Win Competition
Watch out for StarTime's exciting new competition leading up to the next school holidays. The StarBuggy will be visiting schools in the Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches and North Shore, offering kids the chance to win one of three prizes!

StarTime Krew qualify for Battleground Championships
StarTime Krew performed a spine tingling hip hop performance at the GROOVE International Urban Hip Hop Championships on Sunday 25th October. Our fabulous Krew gave the audience a captivating performance, but were pipped at the post by the new kids on the block, Padawans.
We are so proud of our StarTime Krew, who included; Nikki Bermeister (12yrs), Richard Carson (13yrs), Dylan Ho (8yrs), Sasha Ho (11yrs), Ashleigh Kitchen (9yrs), Paloma Leech (10yrs), Isabella Martin (12yrs), Hope McPhilips (13yrs), Paul McPhillips (11yrs), Angela Miskovic (11yrs), Avital Teplitsky (8yrs), Christoper Thomas (13yrs) and Emma Verdicchio (10yrs). StarTime are also very lucky to have the very talented Yolanda Thomas who choreographed, taught and mentored our kids into confident, talented and dynamic hip hop personalities and dancers.
StarTime will now go on to compete at the Battleground Championships, held in Melbourne at the end of November. Our Krew will compete against the best of the best dance crews from Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Kenya, Mongolia and Thailand.

StarTime Academy
As StarTime's reputation grows and our students appetite for performing increases we have now developed the StarTime Academy. This course is designed for those who want to take their acting or hip hop to a higher level.
StarTime Acting Academy: Students will work more intimately with the camera and scripts. They will learn industry techniques and be exposed more frequently to casting directors and producers. We will workshop ideas with a view to creating story's and short films..
StarTime Hip Hop Academy: This class is designed to take very talented dancers to the next level, so they have the opportunity to represent StarTime in competitions. The Academy class works on stage performance, audition techniques and more complicated routines. This class is treated like a professional class and runs at a fast pace. We'll have guest teachers come in who specialise in tricks, popping, locking and break dance.

StarTime Casting
Avital Teplitsky recently scored TWO commercials! One for Foxtel and another for Holden. Keep a look out for our Avital doing some terrific sleep acting in the backseat of the new Holden!
Louis Fowler from our Coogee STS Drama Class experienced the thrill of the recording studio and provided a terrific voice over track for a new show in The Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Kylie Connell continues to provide our students with opportunities to be in theatre, films and TV commercials. Two of our students Laura Anderson and Richard Carson were cast in a scene from "Sellfelp" a promotional film for the book of the same name due for release in November. The director noted: "Richard and Laura were cast perfectly as brother and sister. We can't wait to edit the footage together because they gave such great performances....very realistic. And they conducted themselves in such a professional manner - I was really impressed." Congratulations Richard and Laura! Both are regular students of our Holiday Workshops and Laura takes private lessons with StarTime also. The work pays off!
